Roundtable Followup Meetings

a) February 3, 2011: Technical advisors from the USAID Trade Project met with the association of Customs Clearance Agents in Karachi as a follow up to the Public Private Consultative Round Table Conference. The Customs Clearing Agent Association represents 3000 clearing agents in the Karachi area and is a key stakeholder with respect to trade facilitation reforms highlighted during the Round Table mechanism.

Public-Private Sector Consultative Roundtable Meeting

The USAID Trade Project organized a two day roundtable meeting between public and private sector stakeholders on January 13 - January 14, 2011 to initiate and develop public-private sector stakeholder consultative mechanism that would support national trade facilitation reforms.
The USAID Trade Project is working closely with key counterparts from the Government of Pakistan (GoP) to promote legitimate domestic, international and transit trade.

Improved Pakistan Trade Environment

Improved Pakistan Trade Environment is designed to support the implementation of effective trade related policies, procedures, systems and practices that effect the movement of goods across Pakistan's borders. The Trade Project builds on past successes to substantially strengthen the overall trade environment, reducing the costs and time required to export and import goods.
